A standard cup of coffee has somewhere between 95 mg - 115 mg.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat the heck is Swiss-Water Process decaf?\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe Swiss-Water method completely avoids chemicals (unlike 70% of the world’s decaf) and is the preferred method for organic coffee. SWP removes caffeine while preserving flavor. Methylene Chloride and Ethyl Acetate (also described as sugar cane) are not used at any point. Fresh, unroasted coffee beans are soaked in hot water to extract caffeine along with coffee’s natural flavors. The water then passes through an activated carbon filter that traps only the caffeine. The flavor-rich water is introduced to a fresh batch of unroasted coffee, and due to the principle of equilibrium, only caffeine is extracted from the new beans before they are dried to prepare for roasting.
