The Coffee
Life is comprised of the tiny microcosmic moments that make up a lifetime. Coffee is a great representation of those daily habits that can become sacred rituals. In Between Coffee is the first half-caffeinated coffee company birthed on the principles of being able to experience all of the joy without the downfalls of being too wired.
It is not about abstaining from the things you love but rather being able to consciously consume them, embrace them in harmony and celebrate the pleasure. Coffee symbolizes a sacred pause. So enjoy our brew often and in good company.
The Music
Our music began to flow through us shortly after Deena was diagnosed with cancer. The prognosis was for a tumor on the roof of her mouth— compromising her ability to speak and sing again. Days before the complicated surgery, we decided to record our wedding vows as a song, knowing it may be the last time we would be able to speak them to one another. To her doctors and friends' disbelief, Deena had a radical recovery after the operation and not only could she sing, but songs started pouring out of her.
In parallel, Austin (who’d previously written in a band and for other artists) got quiet enough to hear his own voice for the first time—tapping into a more vulnerable side of himself. It was Somewhere in Between Deena’s healing and Austin’s slowing down that this project became a tangible reality.
